Text Message Proof of Possible Fraud/illegal activity/sham

 











So above is some text message evidence of what I believe may be fraudulent, shady & perhaps even illegal activity.   

I had applied to a job on indeed.com listed as Ballot Access LLC.  I met with Susan Mays (541-480-5774) at the Marriott Hotel on Collins Road in Cedar Rapids.  I met with her on  8-5-2020 at 5:00 p.m.   When I questioned her about what the official name of the company was she gave me "Triton LLC."   She informed me that a criminal background check would be done on me & that in order to prove legitimacy, I would be given a badge that I had to wear at all times. 

On  8-6-2020, I met with Gary Thompson (702-239-9700) at the 1st Ave HyVee in Cedar Rapids.  I was with him from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.   In those three hours some immediate red flags popped up.  I asked him the name of the company & he said, "Get Out the Vote LLC" never once mentioning "Ballot Access LLC" or "Triton LLC."  He then said that if anyone asked who we were with to tell them, "The Women's League of Voters."   

I then asked Mr. Thompson if we had or had to get permission from businesses in order to set up.  He said that no we did not & he even encouraged me to NOT ask permission & to set up anyway.  

The next day I tried various locations in both Cedar Rapids & Iowa City.  Fareway, Walgreens, CVS, & two Hy-Vee locations said I could not be there and asked me to leave.  That's when I contacted Mr. Thompson and Ms. Mays.  At first Mays as she had done before said that I would be given a badge. Mr. Thompson said that I didn't need one or that I could forge a fake one.   

I then said that I didn't feel comfortable doing any more work until I saw the headquarters of the company & I could prove the legitimacy of the company.   I was given an address of 222 3rd Ave SE, Suite 501 Cedar Rapids.  I agreed to met Ms. Mays there at 9:30 a.m. 8-9-2020.  

A short while later I was told that my time & services were no longer needed.  

They claim to have been doing this sort of work for twenty years.  

I am going to go to 222 3rd Ave SE, Suite 501 tomorrow (8-9-2020) & see what I can find.  I contacted the 1st Ave HyVee & made a manager aware of possible illegal activity taking place on there property.   I also plan to visit other HyVee's & see if I might be able to find other workers.   There was a similar happening in Oregon years ago, where workers weren't getting paid after doing work & other illegal activity was going on.  

Something isn't right here & if there is illegal activity or a con artist job going on here, I want to expose it.    



UPDATE:  8-9-2020 

I went & checked out the address of 222 3rd Ave SE suite 501 in Cedar Rapids.  It was downtown, straight west of a hills Bank.  The building hosted an assortment of businesses, some of which were only listed by suite & not name.  It was locked today.   May go up there again in the future. 

Per research I did there was a scam in Oregon a few years ago that I think may be similar to what is happening with this outfit.  They get the registrations from individuals who are not licensed to do so & then tell them that they were unable to make money because of that issue.  They then turn in the registrations for themselves & the workers never get paid.   

I wanted to but didn't have the time today to search around Cedar Rapids to see if I could find any other workers.  My goal here is to see if these people are getting paid or not.

UPDATE 8-13-2020 

I found out tonight after a conversation with Tom Kelly that some of the information that Gary Thompson was giving citizens was incorrect or in the least misinformed.  He was/is telling citizens that it doesn't matter whether they register as Republican or Democrat, they can still vote in the general election for whomever they want.  What Mr. Thompson failed to mention is that Iowa is a closed primary state. So if someone registers as Republican they cannot caucus or vote in pre-general elections for Democrats. 

UPDATE 8-27-2020

I don't believe Gary Thompson or Susan Meys are in Iowa any longer. All ads on indeed, Monster & Craig's list have sense been taken down.  I cannot find any proof of them still being in the area.
