Corridor University Football Player Reinstated.

Four Corridor University students were expelled this past April for academic dishonesty. Rachel Jay 18, Javier Oviedo 20, Janice Dux 18, and Jermaine Abdul Ali 21, were all caught cheating on a final exam in their biology 101 course. When caught by professor G.J. Jones, the students were permanently expelled by the University.

"We have a no cheating policy here at Corridor University." Corridor University President Dana Myers told The Mighty Quinn back in April, "We hold our students to a high standard of integrity and such antics will not be tolerated."

Among the four students, it was discovered that Abdul Ali, was a member of the Corridor football team. As a running back last season, he averaged 37 yards a game and scored a total of 11 touchdowns including one that propelled the Mighty Hippos in a 21-20 victory over the Southern Iowa Maze in the Cut Bowl.

As of August 1st, Abdul Ali has been reinstated to Corridor University, while Jay, Oviedo and Dux still remain expelled.

When asked about Abdul Ali's reinstatement Myers told The Mighty Quinn, "We believe in second chances here at Corridor University. Abdul Ali has proven how seriously he takes his academic career and it wouldn't be right to deny him an education because of one mistake."

When asked if Jay, Ovideo and Dux would also be reinstated, Myers declined to comment.

Abdul Ali, a Extra-curricular and Outside of School Activities major, who maintained the 2.0 GPA requirement to remain academically eligible to play football and will graduate in May.

Jay, a Communications major who maintained a 3.5 GPA, Oviedo a Mathematics major with a 3.2 GPA and Dux a Biology major with a 4.0 GPA, are currently still in an appeals process to be reinstated.
